A common question asked by most employees when asked to go above and beyond is “what’s in it for me?” On a good day, inspiring a team to work together through change management is not an easy task, and doing that through remote work is even more challenging.
Creating hyper-personalized experiences is one of the best ways to show employees they really matter. Gamification is also one of the greatest ways to break down hierarchies and rally everyone together around a shared purpose.

The Result
With limited time and budget, we went old school and created our very own search and find game to symbolize the whole purpose of Vintory’s new platform: to search and find new homeowner leads for their partners. The gameboard was the vacation rental market and the goal of the game was to find new homeowner leads. The surprise and delight element? We created personalized caricatures of each team member doing something they love and hid them in the game. We then sent each team member their caricature to keep! We surveyed team members before and after the big search and find, which included employee appreciation remarks from the CEO, and there was a notable upswing in positive attitudes towards the change and transformation of the company.
